We're going to call these PSABE from now on. Using acronyms is fun and clever. It makes long hard names easier to remember. So from now on, whenever you want to make a public service announcement for bloggers everywhere, you can just say "hey, I have a PSABE!" and everyone will know exactly what you're talking about.
(Note: you have to pronounce the p at the beginning and the e at the end, so it sounds something like p-sabee. With one of those "a" sounds that are neither long nor short, like in the word "far". See? Easy! Fun! Clever!)
Anyway, this blog post is a PSABE, but it isn't about PSABE.
This blog post is about CAPTCHA.
The best thing about a CAPTCHA is that it's fun to say.

The worst thing about a CAPTCHA is everything else.
What's a CAPTCHA?
Why, a CAPTCHA is (and I know that it's true because I copied and pasted it from Wikipedia): an acronym based on the word "capture" and standing for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart".
In layman's terms, it's those stupid blurry illegible letters that people have to type before commenting on some blogs. They're supposedly there to help keep blogs' commenting sections spam-free.
The other kind of Spam. Also - completely unrelated - I still think that it's hilarious that I snapped this photo at the filipino food fair at the Asian grocery store in my old neighbourhood. For the record: most filipino food is delicious. And not made from Spam.
In theory, a CAPTCHA is meant to deflect spam. In reality, a CAPTCHA mostly just deflects comments.

This screenshot is from Spirit Clay, where the fabulously talented Candace posts her amazing polymer clay creations. Please note the fact that I was commenting about robots.

It's at this point that I usually realize that the Internet thinks I'm a robot.
A sad robot who can't read or type.

Why do you hate robots? What has a robot ever done to you? Do you think that it's fair to cruelly mock their inability to read or type? Shame on you. Shame.
The default setting on Blogger has word verification on; you have to manually turn it off if you don't want to emotionally traumatize robots.
Luckily, it's an easy fix! You can turn off the CAPTCHA on your Blogger blog with a simple click of a mouse!
First, click on settings and then on comments in your dashboard.

Next, scroll down until you see "Show word verification for comments?" and then - and this is the important part - click on no.

That's it! Easy-peasy!
In fact, it's so easy that I'm going on an anti-CAPTCHA campaign. Robots and Bloggers Against CAPTCHA! I'm going to link to this post on every blog with word verification. Admittedly, that will be really obnoxious. But I think that in this case, the ends justify the means.
This isn't to suggest, of course, that CAPTCHA can't at times be a source of amusement. Sometimes they even make me laugh.
exhibit A:

I'm picturing a pudgy mustachioed stylist.
exhibit B:
One time while commenting on an infertility blog, I found myself typing the CAPTCHA "placenta importa".

(Disclaimer: I'm not 100% positive what ironic actually means. I'm pretty sure that reading healthy living blogs while eating spoonfuls of nutella counts, but that's about as far as I get. And also I just copied and pasted that joke about irony from an older blog post.)

I didn't make it up. Look! Proof!

I'm pretty sure that tweets count as proof. In fact, Twitter is probably the second most trust-worthy source of information, right after Wikipedia.
exhibit C:

Frack indeed.
* geeky Battlestar Galactica reference
We have to ask ourselves, though: is the rare amusing CAPTCHA worth this?

Is anything?
To be fair, I guess that being a robot can't be all bad.

If I were a robot, I would download a bunch of cool apps.
I would download an app that would let me sleep through the night without waking up, and an app that would make me a talented guitarist without actually having to learn to play, and an app that would make me invisible at will.
I still don't think that I'd like folding the laundry or dusting. I think that I'd probably hire another robot to do that, with all of my robot money.
But I would definitely download an app that would let me know the lyrics to every song.

(Did you catch that? We're totally robot dancing in that last picture.)
You can make the world a better place for all of us.

Awesome post! I will join your crusade, mostly because I have a hard time reading captchas, though I love the funny, or ironic, or ironically funny, ones. And I love saying CAPTCHA! But you have to do it with jazz hands. Also, you are a very good dancer. This may be the longest comment I've ever posted on a blog. And I know it won't be hosed up by some indecipherable captcha, and that makes me super happy.
ReplyDeleteAnd your comment makes ME super happy. So we can all be happy and captcha-free together.
DeleteGod I love you.
ReplyDeleteLol you keep upgrading my "favorite pic." Now it is the jazz hands one.
Cute robot and cute post!
Everything's better with jazz hands.
DeleteI AGREE. I have been shooting off many of angry tweets about CATCHA. PLEASE turn it off, people. Not to be a jerk, but does everyone think they're so popular that their posts are gonna get inundated with spam comments the moment they turn it off? If you want to monitor your comments, put the comment approval thing on.
ReplyDeleteI HATE it when I hit publish on a comment and I have to scroll down to see if it actually published or a stupid CATCHA screen is up. One day I hope I can live in a world where I can hit submit and x out of a blog.
Sorry this comment is so angry. You rock.
Snarl, growl and teeth-gnash right back at you. I've only ever had one spam comment here. And I'm actually quite fond of him, because he's quaint and all alone. I didn't even delete him.
DeleteHe he he - cool post about a
ReplyDeleteDamned Serious Thing!
They are so hard sometimes that I'm beginning to think I AM a R O B O T!!!
but I read a blog recently who turned theirs off and they got so much spam they put it back on again.
Hey do I have horrible robot verification that's impossible? Is that why....????(it's like trying to see your arse in the mirror to see if you've got bird shit on it - you need someone to tell you.
You do, you do, you do. I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But, on the positive side, your butt looks great.
DeleteI completely support this PSABE.
ReplyDeleteTogether, we can make a difference.
DeleteSo funny and I was thinking about doing a post about them too because I have been getting realy aggravated with them. No, I am not a robot, but I almost have to be to decipher some of those codes.
ReplyDeleteI got rid of mine a couple of weeks ago and glad I did.
No, robots are even worse than humans at deciphering blurry letters. It's a scientific fact.
DeleteOh yes! Love how you included the turning it off tutorial. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say...I'm a giver! Ha!
DeleteI'm so glad to see the internet sweeping with destroy word verification posts. I like to think I started a revolution... :)
ReplyDeleteI used to just refuse to comment on word verified blogs but at this point I pretty much just unsubscribe to them. I still stay GFC follower, but I put them all into a word verified folder in my Reader and just don't read most of them. The few blogs that I will visit is because it's an amazing giveaway that I just HAVE to enter, and even then I resent them. :D
They used to bug me, but they were just a minor annoyance. But then, when Blogger switched to threaded replies, they also changed their CAPTCHA...and now they're almost impossible!
DeleteUnfortunately, I have nothing to give away. Except for love.
This was hilarious. I love your robot.
ReplyDeleteI went to see if I had Captcha on mine, but my settings don't look anything like your pic - and I couldn't find a word-verification option.
I have no idea if I'm contributing to the misery of the internet or not!
You do. You are. A robot sheds a single tear.
DeleteI don't want to make a robot cry even a single tear!
DeleteI have discovered the 'old' blogger interface - I didn't know there was a new one, but apparently that is what I have.
Anyway. I think I have fixed it. Robot hugs!
Oh. So this whole tutorial is already dated. That's a bit embarrassing. Ha! I'm glad you figured it out, though.
DeleteHee hee, still laughing at your lyrics to the Banana boat song. priceless!
ReplyDeleteWill definitely be joining the revolution against this atrocity, which has been inflicted upon Blogger-kind.
As always, a fantastic post.
Fight the revolution! Occupy comments! And, for the record, I actually do know the real words. I just like mine better.
DeleteI'm a robot too. I never know if caps matter in capcha or whatever it is. So if I heed your psabe, will I have more Spam? That's the question.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't know. I don't have any spam here. I did have a few spammers on my old blog, but they were people who posted their link in my comments, not bots.
Deleteyou are awesome!!
ReplyDeletelove the acronyms. and thank you for giving directions on pronunciation (very important in order to up the funny-ness factor). i managed to work the acronym fnkc into my blog post today and was delighted with it. your two are new to me and i feel very much more clever than when i woke up - i have already learned new facts today and it's only 6:30 a.m.!
your blog post today is funny because it's SO TRUE!! i get a little anxious when i see i have to type those blurry words....esp when it takes me three tries to get it right! and it makes me laugh because it is just to comment on a blog - it's not like i'm trying to access my banking or leave a note for the CIA! so pat yourself on the back for your psabe!!
I like acronyms. Actually, in reality, I kind of hate them. But BECAUSE I hate them, I love them and think they're funny. Does that make any sense?
DeleteYay! I get all angry faced when I try to comment from the iPad and it auto corrects the captchas...then I guess I am a robot of some sort, at least a slave to one! What happened to the colorful CLEAR captchas? At least I had a chance of seeing those...can robots read regular, non blurry words? I usually decide by the third attempt that my comment is not nearly as relevant nor amusing as it was the first time. See I don't have that problem here with you...I can just freely post whatever crossed my mind...sorry! Love the dancers...love the whole post!
ReplyDeleteOoooh...autocorrect! That just adds a whole layer of awful to comething that's already bad! And never apologize for speaking your mind. I love mind-speak.
DeleteHahaha, I love your robot! Genius! I said this about the sheep also, but it is true - best clay robot I have seen! Lovely jazz hands also.
ReplyDeleteI frickin hate Captcha (though I do like the word). I can never read what the words are supposed to be and I end up having to retry about 8 million times. I am not going to lie though, commenting on Blogger blogs pains me most of the time also. Something always seems to go wrong when I am commenting, Captcha or no Captcha. Usually something about my OpenID credentials not being verified. I usually give up commenting on Blogger blogs, but on yours I usually power through!
My PSABE is use Wordpress ;)
Ha! Your PSABE actually made me laugh out loud. Maybe someday, if I find out that commenting is hard for lots of people. But for now, I'm quite happy on blogger!
DeleteI so needed that laugh this morning, Stephanie. Thank you!!! It didn't take me long to disable captcha---and I'm only willing to leave a comment with captcha if it's someone I know and love. Otherwise, I don't even bother to leave a comment. What particularly peeves me is when someone enters their blog into a contest that drives people to read and comment on blogs. That seriously annoys me. LOL
ReplyDelete"What particularly peeves me is when someone enters their blog into a contest that drives people to read and comment on blogs." Oh, Abby. I feel so unsmart, but I can't figure this sentence out. Is this blog comment contest thing common? I'm with you though...I don't comment on blogs with CAPTCHA unless I'm particularly fond of the blog/blogger.
Deleteok, might have to remove the captcha thing- although frankly they almost always amuse me. I love the robot- but wanted you to know that my son thinks it's stinky cheese man--- or at least a stinky cheese robot, which kinda cracked me up. I wanted to see the stink lines radiating off the sad robot.
ReplyDeleteHa! That's funny! Now that you point it out...I can kind of see the resemblance.
Deleteo and because captcha is apparently too long for me to remember, I keep telling myself, remember to change that caprica feature, remember to change that caprica setting... probably inspired by the battlestar ref.
ReplyDeleteOh my heck! That's hilarious and ironic! I commented on your blog the other day and it took me 6 times to get the Captcha right! I'm going to turn mine off and join the cause! You totally rock, Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteNooooo! Seriously?!?! I disabled word verification when I first set up this blog. Is there a blogger glitch that turned it back on? That would be hilarious. And also embarrassing, given the message of this post.
DeleteThank you, thank you, thank you. This is especially a problem for those of us who can't figure out how to turn off the damn auto correct on our iPads and apparently have fingers incapable of correctly hitting the stupid little go-away-x thingy -- which makes us curse our sausage fingers -- to make auto correct leave us alone, and end up failing every captcha ever.
ReplyDeleteI'm just kind of assuming that this is an affliction that many people have.
Until I read the commments, I hadn't even considered how autocorrect would add a whole other layer of bad to the whole mess! CAPTCHA is just all kinds of awful.
DeleteI was wondering if you were a clay forming, blog writing, comical Robot. Now I just know that you are an anti-CAPTCHA Superhero!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha
Great Post, as always! Those are annoying, especially on Ticketmaster when you are trying to buy concert tickets. I mean are there really concert ticket buying robots out there??????
See, but this comment highlights the main problem: insidious prejudice against robots. Why would being a robot and being a super-hero be exclusive? Why couldn't I be a blogging robot super-hero? Break down the barriers!
DeleteSomeday I hope to live in a CAPTCHA free world. Where robots and humans can live in harmony. Until then, yea, it drives me crazy and there are times I won't comment because of it. Which is sad. I'm with the Robot!
ReplyDeleteIf we all work together, we can make that dream a reality.
DeleteI am totally laughing at loud right now! Loved the picture of you dancing and the frack battlestar reference. great post and I will make sure my thingy cptcha is turned OFF.
ReplyDeleteFrackin' RIGHT! Ha!
DeleteWouldn't that be RABAC? RABAC!
ReplyDeleteLet's try it out: RABAAAAAAAC! (jazz hands) It's got flair! I think it will catch on.
DeleteSo many funny bits, I can't even narrow it to my favorite. Gotta say the artistry on your little steampunk robot is super cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd coming from the Land of Spam (we even have a Spam museum- not even kidding), Spam tends to get a bad rap. But it's considered a delicacy in Hawaii, so there's that.
Have you seen this? "Just glue some gears on it, and call it steampunk..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFCuE5rHbPA
DeleteYeah, guilty. Haha!
Robots! I love robots even MORE than ZOMBIES!!!! Did I tell you that I am going back to school so that I can learn how to make a robot army? (I am not telling admissions my actual purpose).
ReplyDeleteAnyway. Yes. Yes, and yes. I fracking HATE fracking CAPTCHAs. HATE. THEM. I am reposting this across the internet. It really is a PSABE.
Oh, that is SO COOL! But will you make them smart? And then they'll kill you and take over the world? Because that would make an awesome movie, but it probably wouldn't look so good on a resume.
DeleteOh dear, I better go check my settings now.
ReplyDeleteSee? The PSABE is already working!
DeleteOh, dear. Now you've made me wonder if I have the captcha system set up! *checks settings*
ReplyDeleteThanks!
-Barb the French Bean
...I am now paranoid; did I or didn't I remove them? o_O
ReplyDeleteYour word verification is most definitely on. I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
DeleteOh f*ck. My ribs hurt from laughing. I can't figure out which I love more - jazz hands or clay robot. Keep 'em coming.
ReplyDeleteOh crap! I missed my chance! I SHOULD have made a robot with jazz hands...
DeleteLOVE this! Hilarious :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteYes, I'm so in on this crusade. Sometimes I just can't believe the captcha phrases...I mean, why? Why are they so mushed up? As long as it's an image and not typed letters, a real actual robot-spammer shouldn't be able to decipher it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about blogger, but I know on Wordpress, Akismet keeps the evil spammers at bay...and there's probably a story to tell there too. As far as I know, it doesn't make robots sad.
Then again--I've obviously had issues with Disqus (because when people actually discuss things in a long enough post, it throws them into spam...and then I have to white list them...but apparently I also have to clear the cache). Ugh.
Disqus hates me. I only comment on 3 blogs with Disqus (including yours!) and I broke down and signed up for a user name. But yeah, I'm not sure how much CAPTCHA actually helps to keep spam away. I don't get any spam here.
Delete(I probably shouldn't have typed that. Now I've jinxed myself.)
One of my commenters asked me to turn it off. I went to do so and Google had "upgraded" my blogger account. So, for my own PSABE (which, btw, I totally knew how it was pronounced before you told me), I recommend switching back to the old Google Blogger Dashboard format, where, with a bit of searching around you can find the way to turn it off.
ReplyDeleteAlso, captcha (which is a "word" I hate, but I do love your jazz hands!) doesn't even prevent spammers. I had a ton before I turned off the stupid thing.
And now I realize that I'm using the old blogger editor. And - therefore - this tutorial is completely dated. Oh well. I've never claimed to be an early adopter! Ha!
DeleteI am with you. I hate those things. Especially since I have to ask for a new one about 25% of the tie because I can't read it. Mine has always been off and I have NEVER one time received spam.
ReplyDeleteI received spam once. But it was obviously human-posted, so the CAPTCHA wouldn't have stopped it. And besides, since it's my only one, I'm actually quite fond of it.
DeleteAnyone can comment on my blog but so far I have only ever had Russian Spam? I just block the spammers and keep an eye on comments. They are clever, they go for the older posts and hope you will not notice (well the Russians do anyway)
ReplyDeleteStill, though...are they bot comments, or human spammers? Because human spammers can still spam by typing in the CAPTCHA. If they can READ the CAPTCHA, of course...
DeleteI haaaaate captcha and I love that wordpress blogs don't use it!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Still, though, I'm happy at Blogger. I just wish they'd lose the silly default word verification.
DeleteFabulous! I can never type it right the first time.
ReplyDeleteOr the second time. Or the third time. Or...
DeleteI am so glad I found your blog through the Leap Blog Day. I love it! This one is so funny and so true. I hate those captchas because I can never read them. Ughhh! I don't think some people even know they have them. I didn't till everyone started talking about them. They never showed up when I replied to comments. Great post.
ReplyDeleteWelcome! I'm glad you found me too! :) I think you're right...people don't even realize that they have their word verification on. It bothers me that it's a default setting.
DeleteTotally amused with your post! LOL! Is the old blogger editor then better than the updated version? I have captcha still despite I have turned it off. :(
ReplyDeleteActually, I didn't even realize when I was writing this post that I was using the old editor and more people are using the new one. I find that both funny and slightly embarrassing. Ha! I like the old one, but I don't know if it's better...
DeleteWow. There are so many cosmic serendipity elements to this post and my life right now. I literally JUST turned off captcha on my blog one minute before reading this. Also, I am totally watching Battlestar Galactica right now, so frack means only one thing to me. But I read that one as "frack ursite", as in f*** your site for having frackin' captcha, yo! Domo Arigato Mrs. Roboto. Sweet steampunk robot you got there, too. Brilliant post of brilliance. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteBahaha! "Frack ursite!" Love it. And thank you. You're one of two commenters to mention the steampunkiness of my robot, so thanks for that too! Except, I'm totally guilty of "gluing gears on it and calling it steampunk". (Have you watched that music video on youtube? So funny!)
DeleteVery cool post.
ReplyDeleteI am a robot too ;)
Robots are welcome here. In fact, robot readers add a certain coolness factor that this blog was previously lacking.
DeleteCan ANYONE read Captchas? I'm tempted to try the visually impaired audio option--ever given that a go? I feel like it might be equally (or even more) hilarious.
ReplyDeleteYou know, now I'm thinking that I completely missed the ball with this post. How could I have written a post about CAPTCHA WITHOUT trying the visually impaired audio option? Science weeps in the corner.
DeleteThis is hilarious...and true. I can deal with the nonblurred captchas...but I've also gotten stuck getting more captchas cause I just can't get them right.
ReplyDeleteAs a Wordpresser, I often have problems commenting on Blogger posts...getting stuck in the endless "your verification isn't correct." When I hit on a formula that works (like name/url) for a blog, I stick with it...but I've had to give up on commenting on some blogs. I find the spam controls in Wordpress seem to do what they need to do..
[not meant to be a complaint about your blogging platform choice..].
I've heard a lot of complaints about that lately! I like blogger and have no intention of switching platforms...but I really do hope that they can get their comments fixed up.
DeleteI'm really happy to have read your post. Fabulous and incredibly realistic!
ReplyDeleteThans a lot!
Grazia
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading! :)
DeleteI love this! I am totally with you on the acronym front! actually I'm just proud i can spell acronym! Hilarious blog as always!
ReplyDeleteHa! Acronym IS a hard word to spell. Right up there with embarrassing and relevant. (relevant? relevent?)
DeleteIt's absolutely gotten worse for me lately. I can't see the right letters at all any more, let alone TYPE them. Down with CAPTCHA! (I'm picturing a crowd with signs and torches, chanting ... maybe there are robots, too.)
ReplyDelete:)
There are definitely robots. RABAC doesn't discriminate.
DeleteWhat about reCaptcha?
ReplyDeleteThat one actually -helps- robots. Google scans these old books to upload them into a database, and we get the words that confuse the bots.
Day-o, MLG-pro....
frigging-a, I thought I had that meme out of my head.
(MLG means major-league-gamer. I think. You should do a post on acronyms and everybody could contribute to the NAAD, the North American Acronym Database.)
(And that is irony. NAAD, a list of acronyms.)
(Yes, I am involved in falconry. Don't have my own bird. Replied to your comment with a pic of me holding one.)
-Motaki, Aspiring Falconer
I don't know that meme. (Confession time: I didn't even know how to pronounce meme until a few weeks ago.) Acronyms actually drive me crazy because it takes me forever to figure out what they stand for.
DeleteYes, I totally agree! I used to always forget what they're called but now I will never forget "CAPTCHA *jazz hands.*" I turned mine off a while ago and never looked back.
ReplyDeleteMost things in life are better with jazz hands!
Deletealways late to the party, but just want you to know I got rid of CAPTCHA because of you. and also linked this post with your blogger button so that other bloggers have the tutorial on how to do it.
ReplyDeleteFYI: you can give this post link names, and one helpful one would be: "how to remove CAPTCHA from blog" or "tutorial on removing word verification". You will get more hits that way.
best,
MOV
Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn't thought of that. This isn't exactly the kind of blog that one finds through google searches, but it might be worth putting the tag in.
DeleteThis is hysterical, Stephanie! Captcha makes me crazy. It was bad enough when you had to type one word, now you have to type TWO!! Especially on WIAW when I'm trying to leave a lot of comments. Each comment takes 3 steps and it takes forever. Thanks for spreading the word!
ReplyDeleteAnd they're not even words. It wouldn't bother me if they were actual words.
DeleteFight the fight! Where do I sign up? I, too, hate Captcha's. When I started a Blogger account, I immediately made sure the Captcha setting was turned off. I usually sit in front of one for a few minutes, cocking my head side to side trying to figure out what in the heck the screen says. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYou're in! I'll teach you the secret handshake at the first meeting.
Deletemarvellous!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteNew reader! Follower! and anti-CAPTCHA comrade! :) Love Elle xo
ReplyDeleteWelcome!!! So glad to have you here!
Deletethis is such a cool post :D
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI can't wait to hit publish to see how easy it is. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, prepare to have your mind blown. We have a Captcha that is a math problem. You heard me. We do turn it off periodically, but then the spam comments get on our nerves. What are we doing that we get so much spam from Viagra and heating systems? All knowing robot, give us some answers. Ellen
Your explanations of what the captchas mean are priceless. I would almost be willing to send screenshots of each and every one if you were to make jokes about them. Then again, that's too much work. I'll just come back and read this post.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. However, I have it on all of my blogs. Why? Because there are even programs to get around the CAPTCHA and I still get spammed. Often, I have to hit the repeat several times to be sure I can read it. It's annoying. It's also annoying and hurts my arthritic hands to have to spend twenty minutes every morning cleaning up comments for coupons and junk that people pay someone 5 cents a piece to go find blogs to post a link on. It may get worse now that Google is changing algorithms again and penalizing folks for paid links. Don't like it and can't deal with business online without something. What's the answer?
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm so glad someone tweeted this post because just yesterday, I tweeted, "For the love of donuts, please turn off word verification and Captcha!"
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, most people focused on the word donuts.
This is HILARIOUS, right on spot. I so love captcha, NOT.
ReplyDeletei love this post, hate captcha, love jazz hands and irony equally, would like to start a line of juicy-couture-esque sweat pants that, instead of saying "juicy" on the ass (i mean, seriously?) - these pants would say "ironic" or "sarcastic" or "snide." we could call them sarcasti-pants. and sell them on a website that allowed peoeple to leave comments willy-nilly.
ReplyDeletei want a robot on my blog page, even though (I don't think) that I have any of that captcha crap. (is there a jazz hand icon?)
Yes yes yes! I think I'm a robot. I have been quite sure of it ever since I started failing the Captcha test. I hate it!!! It hates me back. Is it my fault I can't see it?!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteThis robot has been so sad. I love you so much!!
I loved you before and now I super duper love you and I am actually putting your badge on my blog. Yes, yes I am. And I rarely do that. But I'm doing it! I am!
ReplyDeleteWhere have you been all of my life?
ReplyDeleteI love you :D this was a fabulous post.. and because I adore your sense of humor ( and clay peoples ;) ) I must now follow you .. or whatever version of 'following' blogger will allow me to do >.< Heck I'll book mark you and just check in every so many days if that's what it comes to!
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious and so true!
ReplyDeleteI hate captcha, I get so angry when it says that I wrote those words wrong. Grrrr!
Thank you!
Ambra
(I will share this on my facebook page!)
Brilliant! Sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo, this is brilliant and wonderful and I want to see everything that you do. Therefore I signed up for email notifications. In order to do so, I had to complete a captcha. That, my friend, is irony. I think. Probably.
ReplyDeleteBAHAHAHAHA! This is my favourite thing of the day. It's also pretty embarrassing.
DeleteConfession: I have no idea how to take CAPTCHA off the email subscription.
LOVE!!!! Your claymation is FABULOUS! And if I was a robot, I would still love it :)
ReplyDeleteAmyah-zahng = California speak for Amazing.
ReplyDeletelove this and i read it right after having a rant to my partner about NOT being able to read those sodding things!!!! lol Thanks xx
ReplyDeleteI'm in. I displayed it, I threatened my friends on facebook if they don't display it. I hate captcha than bad. I will not comment on a blog if they have this on.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is spam heaven. They've found me and they won't let me go. However, I hate the cap, so I grabbed your badge. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe best part about being a robot is making poeple think that you are going to give them a hug, and then crushing them with your cruel robot arms. But only if they use CAPTCHA.
ReplyDeleteI hate CAPTCHA for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteBut robots requesting accounts and posting pointless comments are pain in my arse.
Other, gathering data, are OK.
